I train a group of six children on a mini tennis court aged 4-5. They have all different abilities. How do I give all of them the needed training without making it too complicated for some or too easy for others?
I find setting up circuits useful. For example floor tennis, catch tennis and one feeding and one hitting. Rotate the players around when necessary and according to ability.
Hi Mari, we put this question out on our Facebook page to see what coaches had to say and Janice Woodward said "Sometimes I take out the most advanced players for a session or a particular drill, and have them work with the least experienced, while I work with the middle ones, etc. You have to be careful not to overuse this, because the advanced ones and beginners also need your one-on-one attention. But this is quite motivating for the less experienced, and the advanced ones are often proud of their abilities and eager to share."
