How can I run drills inside before the weather is okay to go out?
I've just been on a CardioTennis introduction course and had a go at a session and I thoroughly recommend it as a way of engaging large numbers of children in small spaces (e.g. 20 children on one court) keeping them moving and enjoying the session. I've tried it my 6 year old classes and 13 year old classes and they loved it. The 6 year olds had just picked up a racket for the first time and rather then weigh them down with techniques it was a great way of encouraging them just to run and hit.
Hi Louisa,
What sort of drills/games did you use in your indoor session specifically?
Thanks!
Alex
I've attached a quickly typed up session that we did. The coach aimed it for big group sizes. The more balls available the better. Ladders can be replaced with hurdles to vary what they do who they're not hitting.
the 2nd session was with a smaller size group so individuals got more consecutive hits but were still moving the whole time.
