Run, Fake, Pass and Shoot Shoo...

Player 1 passes to player 2 and makes a break forwards before usinga body fake to get free. After the fake the player then accelerates to the elbow of the free throw line where they receive the ball, shoots and if necessary follow up with a rebound shot. Player 1 then passes to player 2 who throws the ball to the next player in line before joining the back of the queue. Player 1 replaces player 2 and the drill continues.

A close up example of a free throw shot <hr /> A free throw game you can play is to ask your players to line up 5 feet away from the front of the rim. The coach will be under the basket. Each player will shoot a shot 1 at a time. Every shot will get evaluated by the coach and given a score out of 5. 5 being a perfect score.

Blue player 1 starts with the ball in their hand on the baseline on the left hand side of the key. They then roll the ball towards red player 1 and can pick it up once its gone past the free throw line.Red player 1 must run as soon as the ball is thrown to behind the backboard before having a 1 v 1. 6 Players on the side line2 Groups of players behind the base linePlayers 1 and 4 dribbles the ball to the free throw line and passes the ball to the person standing on the side of the court, who immediately throws the ball back. The player then dribbles to the half way line and repeat. The players on the other side are repeating the practice going the opposite direction.

Player 1 passes the ball to player 2 and makes a V cut run, running towards the elbow of the free throw line before cutting in to meet the pass. When player one receives the pass from they shoot from where they caught the ball. If they miss they may follow up with a rebound before playing an outlet pass to player 2 who then passes the ball back into the line of players before joining the back of the queue. Player 1 now takes player 2's role and the dril continues.

Start position is on the block. Toss the ball to the free throw line extended at the three-point line. Jag, step and cut to catch the ball in a quick step. Take the ball to the shooting pocket and forward pivot into the triple threat position facing the front pocket. Do a shoulder fake towards the free throw line and drive on a dribble to the baseline taking a shot from about 8 meters.

Red 1 shoots a free throw. Players O1, O2 and O3 rebound the ball, fill the lanes. Red 1 plays defence. 2 cones at the halfway line. The wing players must go around the cones. After finishing fast break the shooter becomes defender and 3 players goes against 1 to the opposite basket.

Shooting - First to 21 Shootin...

Players line up outside the key in two lines, with one ball per line. The first player to run must shoot as soon as they enter the key. If they score their team get 2 points, if they miss but catch the rebound before it hits the floor and then score their team gets 1 point. If they miss altogether their team gets no points. The winning team is the one which gets to 21 points first.

A line at the free-throw line. The 1st 2 players will have a basketball. The player in front always gets to shoot 1st. As soon as the player in front shoots the player behind can shoot. If the shot is missed, you get your rebound and can shoot as close as you like. The 1st shot must be taken from the free-throw line. A player gets knocked out if the player behind scores before they do.
