Pass back to the person that passed it to you. Work around clockwise to begin then progress to 1,2,3,4 calling out 5s name before passing to him/her.

Players set up a circle with one defender in the middle and one ball per group. The players on the outside of the circle must pass the ball and try to keep it away from the defender. The defender stays in the middle until they steal or deflect the ball. When that happens, the pass who threw the pass will become the next defender.

Set the cones up as shown in the diagram.Split the group into equal teams.On the whistle players have to dribble around the outside cones. Once they have completed a circuit they then move into the next (nearer the middle) set of cones.This is repeated until they end up in the middle, at which time they go back to their team for the next person to go.

The outide players start jogging around the circle and throw the ball into the middle to one of the players they continue jogging around before the middle player throws the ball back to another player.Introduce another ball into the practice.

Player 1 will pass to player 2.After the pass player 1 will cut to the bottom of the circle, stop and cut straight up above the free-throw line.Once player 1 is above the free-throw line, player 2 will pass the ball where player 1 will catch and shoot.Player 1 will become the next passer in the corner.

One team runs clockwise round the inside of the circle with the other team running anti-clockwise around the outside of the circle (blue cones).When the coach shouts 'Jailbreak' the players inside the inner circle try to 'escape' to outside the 10m x 10m square (yellow cones).The inside team scores a point for each 'jailbreaker' - swap over. If you have an odd number of players give the defenders the extra man.

Players work in pairs and move around the court, trying to keep dribbling to a minimum. Before being allowed to make a pass the ball must pass through a gate, the next player must then also pass the ball back through a gate of the other colour. Players progress like this until they have made 6 passes.

Split all your players into two teams and have them line up on opposite sides of the court.2 basketballs are placed at mid-court.Each player is given a number (eg. 1-5).The coach will set out a basket that each team will shoot at.The coach will call out a number.When the number is called out, the corresponding number will run out to get the ball, dribble to the basket and keep shooting till the shot is made.Once the shot is made the players will run after the ball and dribble it back to the center circle.The first player to score and get the ball back to the center circle wins.

Stand about 10 feet away from the wall, the ball starts off in either hand. You will take a bounce then pass it with one hand off the wall and catch it with your other hand. This will be repeated back and forth.

Players stand in a triangle shape, with one player at the top and then three others standing opposite. Passing in order each player passes the ball to the player at the top of the circle who must pass the ball back using the same passing technique as was used to pass the ball to them. As soon as the ball is passed back the next player can pass back. Repeat twice then change over.

Player 1 passes to Player 2, who he then loops. Player 2 bounce passes to Player 1, who drives towards the basket and completes a sucessful layup.

Full court passing and dribbling

Players are stood in each corner of the court with two players stood in the center circle. On the coach's signal players 1 and 2 start dribbling before passing to players 3 and 4 respectively who return the pass. Players 1 and 2 then dribble further before passing to players 5 and 6 and moving towards the elbow of the free throw line to receive the return pass from players 5 and 6. They then immediately pass to the players 7 and 8. Players 1 and 2 should now replace players 5 and 6.

Grip Game

Each player has a basketball. At the end of each baseline put a football goal. The coach has a volleyball. Each player must hold his or her basketball with both hands (fingertips). The game starts in the central circle. The coach bounces the volleyball and players must hit the volleyball with the basketball and try to score a goal.

In and Out full court slalom

Split the group into equal teams. Place cones at regular intervals on the court. On the command players have to dribble in and out of the cones to the end of the slalom before dribbling back through them all to the beginning for the next person to go.

Seven players with two balls. One player is based at the circle of the free throw line (Player 2). Player 1 passes to player 2, player 1 who makes a cut and goes for a hand off pass. Player 1 passes to player 3 and goes to replace player 3. The same happens on the other side of the court using players 4, 2 and 5.

Pass and to the circle - shot relay

Player 1 will pass to player 2. After the pass player 1 will cut to the bottom of the circle, stop and cut straight up above the free-throw line. Once player 1 is above the free-throw line, player 2 will pass the ball where player 1 will catch and shoot. Player 1 will become the next passer in the corner.
