Low post power moves - footwork Drill

Players take it in turn to v cut / flash across the lane to the low post area. Upon arriving, the post up correctly and receive pass from passer. player will then perform the designated move. (i) Drop step baseline- power lay up (ii)Drop step inside - jump hook

Players make good V cuts, receive pass from player with ball, assume triple threat position. Everyone rotate one spot clockwise.

In pairs one player starts with a ball, with their partner starts opposite them. The player with the ball throws the ball to the cone on either the right or left. The receiving player moves to catch the ball before throwing the ball back to the passer.

Player 1 will pass the ball to player 2.Player 1 will cut around the cone and down towards the next cone where they will receive the ball from player 2. Once the ball has been received, player 1 will dribble towards the baseline and shoot.The players will then switch lines.

Players pass the ball to the coach or a feeder just inside the key and run immediately after passing towards the basket. When they are in a prime shooting position they should stop, turn and prepare to recieve a return pass. As soon as the feeder sees the player is ready they should pass to the shooter who then attempts to score.

Player 3 runs to the middle of the line before receiving a pass from player 1. On receiving the ball they pivot and pass the ball to player 4 before running to join the end of the queue.

Player 1 passes to player 2. After passing player 1 sprints cross-court to the cone to try and screen player 3. Player 3 needs to side-step and feint their way past player 1 before then running to the other side to receive the pass on the cone. Player 3 then dribbles inside before passing to player 1 who has the shot.

One player stands on each cone with a fifth player standing between two of the players, with the ball in hand. The player in front of the player in possession should set off on a lead run and receive the pass from the fifth player. After running onto the pass the next player in the square should make a lead run, looking to receive the next pass. After passing players should continue to run until they reach the unoccupied cone.

The player on the elbow closest to the ball (ballside) will set a downscreen for the player on the block to sprint to the three point line to receive the pass from the inbounder. Two players weakside simply space out to the three point line.

Player 1 starts the move by passing the ball to player 2. Just as the first pass is being made player 3 runs diagonally in court in preparation to receive the ball from player 2. Player 2 passes the ball to player 3 who has a shot from the edge of the key. Meanwhile player 1 should have run up court and is positioned ready to receive the rebound if player 3's shot misses.

Player 1 passes to player 2 and makes a break forwards before usinga body fake to get free. After the fake the player then accelerates to the elbow of the free throw line where they receive the ball, shoots and if necessary follow up with a rebound shot. Player 1 then passes to player 2 who throws the ball to the next player in line before joining the back of the queue. Player 1 replaces player 2 and the drill continues.

Set up the same as the original lay up drill. Players in the right line pass to a player in the left line, they then receive the ball back to make a lay up. The left lane gets the lay up and passes to next player without ball in the right lane and joins the back of the right lane. The shooter leaves their shot and joins the back of the left lane. Off the ball screen, practiced in a closed situation. In threes players set up in a triangle. The player at the top passes the ball in either direction then sets the screen on the opposite side to where they have just played their pass. The player behind the screen curls round towards the basket and receives a pass from the player with the ball to shoot a lay-up. The shooting player then collects the ball and runs to the top of the triangle to start the drill again.

Players will set out as shown in animation.The player in the line at the top will dribble down towards the 3 point line. As the player at the top is dribbling, the player at the front of the other line will cut around the cones towards the middle of the free-throw line. The player will catch and shoot the ball.After the player shoot, they will get their own rebound, dribble around and pass it to the next player in the top line.The passer and the shooter will switch lines.

3 Man Passing Drill 2 Basketba...

The person in the middle will receive the basketball from the player on the side, once the person in the middle has the ball they will throw it straight back to the same person. They will then turn to the other side and repeat this. They will continue to repeat this until they reach the half way line. Once they get to the half way line the players on the side lines will turn and dribble back. Once they get around 20 feet away from the basket, one at a time they will perform a "give and go" or 1-2 pass for a lay-up.
