Thanks to Sportplan and their coaching tips, I can now coach with greater confidence and enthusiasm.
Does it cost me anything to be a member for this website?
I create my session plans on a desktop. For some reason, when I log into Sportplan on my tablet, it doesn't appear to update so my plans are not visible there so I cannot deliver the sessions "interactively" and have to rely on printing the session out and delivering it via paper form. Can you advise why it doesn't appear to be updating?
Hi - I need to create a session plan (20 minutes) for an Attack or Defend Batting Game, where the child needs to make the decision depending on the delivery whether to attack or defend the ball. Approximately 8-10 children aged 10 and 11 - any suggestions much appreciated. Thanks. Anil

I am looking to add an assistant coach to my team. Will they be able to assist with creating coaching plans with this access, or do they have to have their own membership? We are trying to keep all of our videos and practice plans in a centralized profile, so it would be helpful if they coudl create from my profile as a team member.
how do I draw my own session plan
Hi there,Does this app work on tablet devices, and can you create drills and sessions plans on said devices please? As I cannot do this on my iPhone. Thanks
Previously used this app and as I'm coaching again this season I've started using it again, previously never had much of an issue creating different training sessions. However, it seems now it is only possible to save exercises to your clipboard before then having the clipboard appear in your folders (which it has also disappeared for some reason for me)Ultimately the above makes for a really poor user experience where I get frustrated I can't just create a new session each week and place drills in that session. I like having a resource to view potential drills, etc but the above stops me being able to actually use it during a training session.More of a comment than a question but wanted to give my feedback.
How do. I add a drill to a session plan
is there a way I can move a drill from the clipboard to a folder I created.
I am about to run my club's frist junior training session of the year and doe anybody know any good ideas for drills or fun games with youngsters (aged between 6-10) who are absolute beginners to cricket?

I ran a coaching session on Sunday where I took along a number of handwritten cards, from which the kids (U11s) could randomly choose "Super Over", "Bowl Off" or "Game Scenario". If they chose the latter, I had another set of cards they could choose from "Wicket Target", "Run Target", "Run Target - but boundaries don't count".Finally, they then draw from some more cards - runs (20-30), max wickets (1-3), overs (3-5).Each game scenario lasted around 10-20 mins, so in our session, we had time for about 4 or 5 scenarios. They appeared to enjoy it, but most of them said they wanted to bowl/bat individually for longer! Kids, eh?The idea behind these if to get them thinking about batting intelligently - rotating the strike, keeping the score ticking over, managing achievable run rates, etc. It's also a chance to give some of them some experience at captaining and having to make key decisions (bowling and batting order, how to place a field for different scenarios).Any ideas for variations I could try would be welcome. My session lasts for 2 hours including warm ups and any specific exercises I want to do beforehand.
Hi, I have two boys aged 3 and 5 who are mad about cricket - do you have any fun games/lesson plans I can play with them and their friends? Thanks
