Centerball - Bench game

To set this game up you need a gymnastics bench at each side of the half court and two back to back benches (or a large gymnastics box if available) laying flat inside the middle of the area. In this middle area there should be a white player defending their side of the bench and a blue player defending their side. The white team tries to score by hitting the ball on the blue's side of the bench and the white side tries to score on the blue's side of the central bench. After every failed attempt to score the team who made the shot must touch one of the benches on either side of the area.

Cross over and score

Setup as shown, with the player on the far right passing to the player in the middle. The player then crosses with the player on the left who takes a shot at goal. After catching the ball B2 feints as if to go to the right, but changes to the left to cross with B3. B3 first feinst to start to te left, but quickly sprints to the left to cross with B2, catch the ball and throw at the goal. Players swap positions after throwing.

Players are in a circle hands on their backs.One player is in the center.This player either really passes to a player of the circle or just makes a dummy pass.When the player of the circle gets his hands off his back with a dummy pass het gets one penalty point.Who reaches 5 penalty points first is the loser of the game.

Hit the dragons tail

White players must try to hit the last player of the 'dragon' (the four blue players in the middle are the dragon). Players in the dragon hold each other's hips or shoulders and try to avoid the ball. In order to hit the back of the dragon the white players must pass the ball quickly around the circle. The ball is not allowed to travel further than one player at a time.

White players try to hit the floor in one of the numbered areas.Blue players can prevent scoring by catching the ball.Play for several minutes and then change teams.Or every player may throw 5 times, add the scores.

One-Two Pass: Receive and Dummy past the defender

Player 1 passes left to player 6 (in the goal area) and then runs out to receive the return pass. After receiving the ball player 1 must feint their way past the static defender (player 2) onto their throwing side (right handers - right side). Once they have got round the defender they pass to the next player in line who repeats this drill (passing left to player 5).

Running Center Shot : give and go

Players line up near the baseline, with a ball each and take it in turns to pass the ball the player outside the 9 meter line. After making the pass players must run around the cone before turning quickly to run onto the return pass. After receiving the pass players should shoot as quickly as possible on goal using the center shot. After shooting players collect their ball and join the back of the line.

Blue players should run towards the defender. When they get close they should jump and stop (taking no steps to do so) and then position themselves for a throw on goal. The defender's job is to stand their ground, read the attacker's movement and be ready to knock the ball away.

Players line up in pairs facing each other with about 5 metres between them. The attacking player dribbles towards the defending player. As they approach the defender they should make the move to throw the ball. It is the defender's job to push the ball away as the attacker goes to throw, using the hand that is closest to the ball.

When seated, players will again throw the ball high in the air but this time they will stand up quickly and catch it while stood. This continues in the same way. Two teams stand at opposite ends of the area, each player has a ball, with a line of cones along the middle. Standing at a distance from the cones (increase/ decrease distance dependant on players' ages) players take it in turns to throw and aim at the cones. Each cone that a player hits is a point for their team. Once all the cones have been hit the team with the most points is the winner.
