Handball: Center Shot Techniqu...

Left-handers should shoot with their right foot in front, right-handers shoot with their left foot in front As you wind up to shoot get your hand at the same height as your shoulder and then pull the ball backwards. Your forearm should form a 90 degree angle with upper-arm Hip turns backwards together with the hand behind the ball with your fingers slightly spread. The third and final step involves moving forwards with a large and explosive drive - planting the 'weak' foot in the direction of the goal as the hand, arm and hips move forwards in the final movement.

Center shot hip height: A right hander should take one right footed step forward when they are about an arm's length away from their opponent. They should raise their arm to shoulder height, backwards, as if to make a normal center shot. Their right hip should be turning backward with arm and shoulder together. The player should then take a large step with their left foot, almost so that it is between the opponent's legs. The final move - players' arms move from back to front explosively, with their hand behind the ball (hand should be sideways, like you want to sweep the floor with the side of your hand). Finally, let go of the ball and point in the direction you want to throw it.

B1,B2 and B3 throw just along side their defenders after passing with them first. Attackers should always be in a forward motion when reveiving the pass. Variations : - center shot when running - center shot hip height - center shot knee height   The rather passive defender only shows the attacker where to throw : defender has hands high --&gt; attacker should decide for a shot at hip of knee height. Defender has hands low --&gt; attacket decedis to throw with a high shoulder height center shot or running shot. <br /><br />5 throws and then change positions with defenders or left, center, right

Blue players take it in turns to dribble forward and shoot on goal. However, there's 3 defenders in their way, so in order to make space for the shot players will have to shoot at hip height to avoid the defender's wide arms.

In this move the winger start with the ball and passes the keeper who returns the pass to the center back. At this point the wing back and the winger both make a forward run. Once the wing back receives the pass from the center back the defender is then free to run forward to put pressure on the wing back. The wing back must read the situation and decide on the best way to progress the attack. They can either pass the ball to the winger who has made a looping run behind them or they can carry the ball forward themselves for the shot on goal. Drill continues until a shot/interception has been made.

White players must try to hit the last player of the 'dragon' (the four blue players in the middle are the dragon). Players in the dragon hold each other's hips or shoulders and try to avoid the ball. In order to hit the back of the dragon the white players must pass the ball quickly around the circle. The ball is not allowed to travel further than one player at a time.

As players run up to where they are going to throw from they should bring the ball up to shoulder height. The first step in the 1-2-3 pattern should be made with the foot they are going to jump with (so for right handed players this should be their left foot and for left-handed players vice versa). The third step should be explosive and powerful. In the air player's hip should go backward at the same time and in the same direction as the throwing arm. Pull up other leg until upper leg is parallel with the other leg. Screw back the hip and the arm should follow this movement explosively to the front.
