Handball: game plan

Two equal teams play with one ball in half the court. Two players who are on neither team hold an elastic cord (or a spare bib/piece of material) to form a moving goal. These two players must run around the pitch, keeping the goal open (stretched out). The aim of the game for the other players is to score a goal into this moving goal through use of a bounce pass.

5 vs 5 game (can be played with or without goals).Game 1:Possession keeping game where all passing is with the hands by throwing and catching. Teams score a point for every 10 passes they make without losing the ball.Game 2:Alternatively you can play this game with goals. All passes must be made with the hands (players can't run with the ball in hand) and players can only score with a header.

Playing inside half a court with a large mat in the center players try to press the ball onto the mat in order to score a point for their team. After scoring the ball must be played to a player on the opposite team on the side line and then start the attack again ( quick throw off imitation).

Playing inside half a court at both sides there is a coned area about 2 meters deep. Each team must attack the other team's zone whilst defending their own. Aim of the game : To try and bring the ball into the 'enemy' zone and make a try.

Play a normal full pitch game with the following condition:One attacker on both teams must stay in the offensive half of the pitch at all times.This will result in a one man overload when teams are attacking and will promote fast breaks.

Player across a half court with two teams. Both teams need to defend their 3 hoops whilst trying put their ball into one of their opposition's hoops. After scoring there is a change of possession.

Mini game of bench ball (played in a smaller area than 1 third of the court), with 1 ball in a 3v3. Players score a point for their side every time they hit the opposition's bench. Players must pass the ball around inside their own half in order to create space for the shot at their opponent's bench.

Two teams divided over two sides of the area.<br />Aim of the game : score a point : every player in an area has to pass and receive the ball once. When every player has done so, the the ball is passed to the other area and the game goes on.Defenders will become attackers aftera scuccesful steal or after a certain time.<br /><br />

Fun game that involves two teams passing the ball to each other, with no dribbling allowed. The aim of the game is for a player to pass to a team mate who is stood in the end zone. Award a point for each successful pass into the end zone.

Two teams with an equal amount of balls stand inside their own area. On the coach's call the teams start throwing the balls at the other team (below waist height - players are not trying to hurt one another). When the trainer whistles again the balls are counted. The team that has least balls in their area wins a point.

Use this conditioned game on a half court with your team. The defending side will have 6 players plus a goalkeeper and the attackers 6 (no goalkeeper). Depending on how much time you have you can use each of the variations below for 5 minutes at a time before changing the conditions for goalscoring. Only the pivot (blue 6) may score. Only the wing players (blues 1 and 5) can score. Players may only score after completing 10 passes.

One player stands about 2-3 meters in front of the other players. This player is the feeder for their group and passes to the other players. Once a player has caught the ball from the feeder and passed it back, they run to the back of their own queue.

Two equal numbered teams play against each other with normal rules.The only additional rule is that at no stage may a team be ahead more then 1 goal. So at 1-0 the team who are ahead have to keep possession until the end of the game.Only if the opposition scores may they try to score again.Play this way with 5-10 minute games with regular break.

Players come from behind the trainer and throw at one of the mats.There are several mats on the floor.<br>Mats furher away are more difficult to hit and get more points when hit.Variations:- trainer calls just befor the players throws a number of the mat they should aim at.- playing in two teams to gather as many point as possible in 3 minutes.

Two teams with any number of players compete on a basketball court or a similar area.The game is played according to standard handball rules, with or without dribbling. Physical contact is not allowed. A point is scored when a player throws the ball against the basketball board. If the ball touches the rim, no point is awarded.To make it more challenging:<br>A point is scored if the ball is thrown against the board and caught again by a player from the same team.A point is scored if the ball is thrown against the board and hits the ground without being touched by any players.<br>

Everyone stands in a circle, facing inward with their legs spread apart, so that you can touch the feet of the person next to you. Using your fists, you hit the ball further within the circle.Make it harder: If the ball goes through someone's legs, they may only play with one hand for the rest of the game.Space: You can adjust the space by either making it larger or smaller.Add more balls to the game: Introduce multiple balls into the game for added challenge.Variations: Every time the ball goes through your legs, you get a letter from the word &quot;DONKEY&quot;. The first person to spell out the word &quot;DONKEY&quot; is the loser, of course!

Players are trying to hit their opponent bench at the other side of the grid with either a jump or a diving shot. Players are only allowed in their own half and must shoot after a set number of passes (in this case two passes). In order to make the shot players must jump outside of the grid, by the cone on the half way line.
