Work in pairs.One is lying on the floor, belly down.Number two is lying next to him in push-up position.Jumps over the other one and land in push-up position.Now number two jumps over number one etc.Most times in a certain time.Who will be at the finish line first ?

Catch the lizards tails

All players get a ribbon which should be put at the backside into everybody's shorts. So everybody is a lizard. All players try to get as many tails as he can in 45 seconds. Lizards who lose their tails can get another one from the trainer.

come along, go away

Players make small groups of 3 players.One player is outside the circle and may shout to a certain group : come along or Go away.After doing this the player and the group start running along the complete circle until they come back at their original place.The player who is last has to go outside and challenge another group.variations :starting positions :- sitting on knees- sitting on bottoms- lying on back- lying on tummy

Playing tag

In this game players run inside the area and attempt to avoid being caught by the taggers. Players are safe from being tagged if they are sitting on the floor, with their feet off the ground. Players are only allowed to stay on the floor for 3 seconds, then they have to get up and run away again. Tag men are not allowed to wait for the player during these 3 seconds.

The monkey and his coconut

In a circle there is a ball.The trainer appoints a player as the guard of the ball.Other players do not know who this guard is.Another player must try to rob the coconut.The guard (monkey) may only start running when the other player touches the ball.Appoint a new guard every time.Variations :- more balls- more guards- more robbers

Two is too many

All players stand in a big circle except for the tagger. The coach appoints one player as the 'chosen one'. The tagger must not listen or look whilst the coach is selecting the chosen player. Once the player has been selected by the coach the tagger starts hunting for the chosen player. When the tagger positions themselves in front of the chosen player the player must run away - around the outside of the circle of players. From this point the tagger has up to 45 seconds to catch the player.

Somewhere a rope is tied to the wall or something else.The dog should hold this rope and he must 'bite' other players by touching them.The dog should be able to reach all of the field.Make field as large as the dog can reach.Inside the field aere several cones the dog should protect, other players try to rob the cones without being touched. Mind the rope !!Players who have been touched may continue playing.How many players can the dog 'bite' in 45 seconds ?

5 vs 5 game (can be played with or without goals).Game 1:Possession keeping game where all passing is with the hands by throwing and catching. Teams score a point for every 10 passes they make without losing the ball.Game 2:Alternatively you can play this game with goals. All passes must be made with the hands (players can't run with the ball in hand) and players can only score with a header.

The first player waiting in line passes to the first player on the cone and immediately follows their pass and runs behind that player to receive the return pass. Once they have the ball in hand again they pass the ball to the next player and drive behind them to loop in front of them and receive the ball again. Once the player reaches the end of the course they dribble the ball to the corner and then sprint around the court back to the end of the line with the ball in hand.

Coach should shout &quot;Go&quot; every 45 seconds. On the first shout a player from both sides sets off to run up the byline, turn around the cone and run to the cone in the opposite corner. Players must then run up the byline again and around the other cone before finally cutting inside to receive the pass from the feeder in the centre and shoot!

Pairs move to and away from each other and move in to each other while passing. They should try to receive passes while moving towards the ball and also while retreating, working on receiving the ball while running in different directions and passing to moving players.

White 1 and White 2 pass the ball back and forth together. When the time is right the next player in line (in this case blue 1) runs out and intercepts the ball. They then dribble up court and throw at the goal.

Make a square by putting 4 cones at a distance of at least 20 mtrs apart and put an extra one in the center.<BR><BR> Start at a signal of the trainer. On the coach's call an attacker and a defender both set off and run around the cone. The defender is trying to get around the cone quicker than the attacker so that they can get in front of them and hinder their shot (no tackling). Once around the cone the attacker should aim to get a jump shot off on goal. Variations: 3 step rythm (right handers : left,right,left and left handers : right,left,right) 2 step or even in 1 step<br />jumping off : left handers : right foot, right handers : left foot jump off with your 'wrong' foot (1,2,3 steps)

The first player sets off and runs as quickly as possible through the slalom. When they reach the end they must dash across the front of the D to try and block the first red player's shot. After this it's a straight sprint - up to the first cone, down, up and then to the back of the shooting player's line.

Players line up on both sides of the court with one players standing in the middle of the 9 meter line. Players take it in turns to pass to the center player, quickly following their pass before receiving the return ball and immediately playing the pass out wide to the next player in line.

Player 1 runs around the cone in the centre, turning back towards the cone on the corner of the base line where they started. After running around the corner cone players then run out in front of the centre player who passes the ball into their path. Set up two circles of cones across the width of the court. Players run one at a time around the cones in a figure of 8 as quickly as possible. You can split your players into two groups in both halves of the court and run this exercise as a relay race - the first team to complete the figure of 8 running wins the race!

Left-handers should shoot with their right foot in front, right-handers shoot with their left foot in front As you wind up to shoot get your hand at the same height as your shoulder and then pull the ball backwards. Your forearm should form a 90 degree angle with upper-arm Hip turns backwards together with the hand behind the ball with your fingers slightly spread. The third and final step involves moving forwards with a large and explosive drive - planting the 'weak' foot in the direction of the goal as the hand, arm and hips move forwards in the final movement.

Simple fast break drill with two lines of players (one on each side) and a feeder/coach standing in the middle. The player at the front of the line passes the ball to the feeder in the middle and then sprints towards the goal. The feeder returns the ball, passing the ball in front of the runner, for them to run onto and shoot with a quick center shot! The attackers should go all the way to the goal line. Low shots are more effective!!

There are several ways you can run this drill, the first way is alternate running. This is where one player at a time sets off to run around the far cone opposite them before then cutting back infield to receive the ball from blue three. After receiving the pass they then progress towards goal before trying to score. The second way of running this drill is as a race. Both players sets off at the same time to run around the cone and then infield. The first player to run over the half way line receives the pass from B3 and then tries to score.

After making the pass players must run around the cone before turning quickly to run onto the return pass. However, the attacking players are allowed to make use of the spare man to get past the defender or if they feel that the passing option is being blocked they can go it alone.
