Drill to practice exploting space in different areas of the pitch using quick movement and awareness. Two equal teams, every player is given a number. A neutral player plays in the game for the team in possession. When the coach calls out a number, the players on both team with that number have to quickly run around the nearest cone on the outside before they can rejoin the game. In that moment, the team in possession will make use of the extra neutral player to break in to the space. The team with the ball must quickly realise where the space is and use it to their advantage. They may only have a few seconds for this. The players who are running out of the pitch must do so quickly and then recover to their positions.
