HOW TO USE THESE DRILLS...

Having good co-ordination is an important part of Football, with players needing to master control of the ball and being balanced.

These video drills which develop your players' skills such as controlling a high ball. It can even be made into a fun game, with small activities such as Keepie Uppies!

Being able to turn with the ball and control will help your players get out of trouble when they're caught in a tight spot during their next game.

180 Degree Turn on Spot

Dribble the ball 3 metres and turn 180 degrees. Attack the space left behind.

Bounce the ball with sole

Try to bounce the ball with the sole of your foot

High Ball Control with Laces

Player throws ball high in the air and wait for ball to drop before catching the ball on the laces to control it.

Floor Is Lava

Form a sqaure with players evenly split across the four corners Working diagnally players must look to dribble across, avoiding those also working across the square The more space they have the bigger toucher they can take

Keep Ball Up

Play the ball up with your foot and let it bounce. Alternate between bounce and kick.

Keepie Uppies

Use alternate feet to keep the ball in the air. Often a players weaker foot won't be as good in this drill, which means it can be improved. Drill helps improve a players touch and control.

Speed Square

There are 4 groups, in a square shape, with even numbers in each corner Start of slow, getting your participants to walk through it You can then make it harder by increasing the speed and decreasing the size of the square
