
This drill requires 11 players in total. Blue team are defending = 5 players. Red team are attacking = 5 players and one goalkeeper. The red central midfielder will start with the ball, they will be closed down by the blue midfielder and they must make a decision to play a wide ball to the right hand side or the left hand side. Once the wide player has got the ball they must beat the full back and get a cross into the box. The wide player should be instructed to stay in their box. The two red strikers will then make a run into the box and try get in front of their defender to score past the goalkeeper
