Encourage switching play from full back to fullback or winger to winger. Set this up on both sides of the pitch for left and right footers. Blue player starts with the ball and the yellow player must make a run on the opposite wing and shout for the ball - "switch" loudly. The ball should be played in the air and controlled on the run if possible by the receiver. Once the blue player has played the ball, they must drive to the box to receive the ball back from the yellow player. Shoot to score (first time is possible) Progression - Add defenders in to receive the ball on the far side of the pitch Add in central midfielder who will pick up balls which do not go high enough - encourage the yellow player to get back to the HW line to recover.
