The aim of this drill is to help the players to be comfortable with close control dribbling, with both feet, instep and outside of the foot, and completing the drill with a pass to their team mate.
1. Player dribbles firstly with the right foot, using the instep. they dribble around the cone using close control and the inside of the right foot, then pass to their team mate on the opposite cone, who will do the same, but with their left foot. once you complete the drill, follow the pass to the back of the opposite line to where you started. for the second drill on the right, players use the outside of the foot. keeping close control of the ball, it will improve the players confort and confidence of dribbling with the ball, and movement with the ball at their feet, and also their speed and skill of being able to change direction of play with a dribble, whilst maintaining close control of the ball.
