Set Up Set up 2 areas with four squares (red cones) with 7 mannequins (blue cones) as seen in the image above. One player on each corner and one spare corner (add cone for group of 4). One player at a time must go through the area dribbling in and out of the mannequins. Players must go through all 4 squares before they can move to the vacant corner on the outside. Once the player has completed the exercises, the next player can then move through the area, replicating the same practice.
Protect the Ball - Positioning their body between the ball and the defender (mannequin), players should protect the ball with intelligent body positioning and close control. Beat the Player - To go forward, players need to use beat the player moves to try and get past the defender (mannequins) and play behind them with a quick change of direction. Intelligent Decisions - Players need to make intelligent decisions at great speed to identify when to move passed the defender (mannequin) with a different beat the player moves or passing when the opportunity opens.
