Set up as shown ideally with marked out side lines as well as start lines, try using penalty box side ways on. Give each of the players a number, ensuring players of similar abilities have the same number. Call out a number and a colour, the people with that number have to run to that colour cone and back again. Initially do this without a ball, ensuring first set are almost back before sending off second set. Then decrease space between each call so kids have to avoid each other more. Next do this with a ball each, again initially giving them time and space and building up until you can have everyone moving at once, with little pause between goes.
By grouping by ability you can ensure those less able only do shorter runs or those needing the practice go more often or further each time.
