Every player will now have a ball at their feet and be dribbling around the area. If the Coach shouts "Red light!", the players must freeze and put their foot on top of the ball. If the Coach shouts "Yellow light!", the players must dribble slowly. If the Coach shouts "Green light!", the players must dribble a steady speed. Once they start to get the hang of it, you can introduce more actions e.g "Turbo!", "U-Turn", "Rev the engine!" etc. You can assign the relevant skill to the new actions. To make it harder you can lift the colour up using cones instead of shouting the action. This encourages them to look up.
- Nice controlled touches on the ball (keeping it in their bubble). - Keep their head up! Be aware of the surroundings and where the open spaces are. - Explosive speed out of turns. Drive into the open spaces! - Use different parts of the feet when dribbling, turning etc
