
(10 minutes) Equipment: 8 cones, 2 size 5 footballs Cones will be set up in two squares, one inside of the other. An athlete will stand on each cone. The balls will start in opposite corners. The cones that start with the ball need at least two players. Athletes are instructed to follow their passes. For description purposes, the ball will start in the bottom left cone of the larger square. The ball is passed to the bottom right of the middle square. It is then played to the bottom left of the inside square. Then to the bottom right of the larger square. Set to restart the pattern by passing to the top right of the inside square. A demonstration and "walk through" of ball and athlete movement will be executed prior to the beginning of the drill to aid the players understanding of the drill. Too many players will lead to extra players standing on the cones on the outside square. Too little players will lead to a player needing to dribble to the spare cone, to then start the sequence again.
