WARRIORS DRILL - 5 mins; 20 m length, 20 m width, Attackers on one line and Defenders on opposite. Defenders start with the ball, the ball is passed along the line while running towards the attackers, the last defender with the ball, places the ball down on the attackers line, all defenders must touch (with foot) the attacking line, then retreat back to their own line as fast as they can before they can start defending, no one from the defensive line can move forward until all the defenders have hit the line - the attackers however can pick up the ball as soon as it has been placed and attack their tryline (the defenders line), they do not have to wait for defence to be ready. Defenders need to touch attacker with two hands to deem the play incomplete, if attackers score the defence team remain in place until they can stop an attacking team - the attacking team may swap with another team once they score. Emphasis on good passing, sharp defence line and good decision making. Punishments should apply for poor decision making and short cuts such as not making the line in defence or attack. After period of time look to widen the width of the drill to allow more room for defence to cover and then look to compact the line again after a period of time.
