Pass back to the person that passed it to you. Work around clockwise to begin then progress to 1,2,3,4 calling out 5s name before passing to him/her.

Improve Assists - Speed Passing

Teamwork makes the dream work. This plan will have your players passing the ball intuitively to each other enabling them to move the ball quicker across court, especially in those fast break situations

OFTEN USED WITH...

Lead Pass:

One player stands on each cone with a fifth player standing between two of the players, with the ball in hand.

The player in front of the player in possession should set off on a lead run and receive the pass from the fifth player.

After running onto the pass the next player in the square should make a lead run, looking to receive the next pass.

After passing players should continue to run until they reach the unoccupied cone.

2 on 1 Passing Drill:

Blue 1 and Blue 3 must try to exchange passes. White 1, the defender must try to intercept or deflect the pass.

Cross Court Shooting Drill:

Setup the practice as shown.

Player 1 passes to player 2 before running up to first cone and receiving the pass back from player 2.

They then make a cross-court pass to player 3 before running around the cones to receive the pass back player 3. They then turn and shoot.
