This week's Session works on the your players' defensive batting and their catching confidence.
The back foot drive is one of the best looking shots a batsman will ever learn to play. It requires skill, poise and accuracy although none of this matters if your players don't know when to employ this point winning driving stroke.
What's in the Session?
Designed for training sessions with large numbers, this week's session starts with a gentle dynamic stretching and concentration warm up before moving onto a catching on the move drill, working on soft hands and hand-eye co-ordination. After this we then progress onto the technicalities of the back foot drive.
In addition to all the batting practice it's also important to work on your players' catching! After all, Catches win matches! To help you coach catching we're looking at catching flat balls as well as fielding the back foot drive.
