DESCRIPTION

Players move around in pairs. One player dribbles, the other one follows. When the trainer blows his whistle the followers goes for the ball and go on dribbling.

COACHING POINTS

When going for the ball do it at the side on which the ball is dribbled by the attacker.

OFTEN USED WITH...

Cross the line:

In the goal area players are static and dribbling the ball on the spot.

When the trainer blows their whistle the players must try to dribble the ball across a certain line without being tackled.

Defenders must try to prevent players from getting past them.

2:1 duels:

Attacker 1 dribbles towards the goal and is defended by defender blue 1 and tries to score a goal, if it is impossible to score goal, attacker 2 may help out.

Once done, they get their balls back and go to the other queue.

supporting team mates/ blocking attackers

defend all:

Blue attackers try to get past the red defender.
Go on to the other queue.
Change after 10 defending actions.

- no dribbling allowed
- attackers have to dribble

1: 1 duels:

Attackers try to score a goal when defended by one defender.

After their shot the attacker collects their ball and joins the back of the line. If the defender wins the ball they rejoin the back of the line and the attacker who lost the ball becomes the new defender.
