This session looks at the fundamentals behind the doubles game, working on the tactical and technical areas such as the smash volley and the cross-court shot. It’s important that your players know the differences between the single game to a doubles match, by teaching them to take full advantage of the whole court. Use accuracy and precision so your players can hit the edge of those lines and win the point!
What’s in this Session?
Start by working your player’s cross-court forehand, aiming for cones set as targets, so your players can improve on their precision to make those game-winning shots. Move onto developing the drop shot, as well as the serve and volley, before finishing off with the smash volley. All of these are fundamental areas to succeeding in a game of doubles, so work your players hard on these and see them reap the rewards!
