Playing on the run - Hitting and Moving

Get your players hitting on the move and playing longer rallies as they improve their ability to move around the court - playing their shots at full stretch!

This high intensity session will see your players running hard as they're required to move continuously along the backline - competing for every shot!

To do this the drills in this session challenge your players to work on their backline rallying - making sure that:

  • They get to the ball - balanced and prepared for the shot
  • Complete the shot and focus on the quality of the stroke
  • Prepare for their opposition's return shot

By setting up conditions on each rally you will be able to see your players becoming more and more comfortable when hitting on the run - meaning they can last longer in intense rallying sessions - and ultimately see out the point to the end!
