Make sure your players are fully warmed up and ready for the start of the session. We begin with an abdominal drill to strengthen the core to condition the body to produce more power and reduce the risk of injury. We continue by focusing on player awareness, both spatially to ensure players aren't taking on the shot too far away or too close to the ball as well as racket awareness to produce the correct point of contact when playing at the net. Finish off the session with a technical service drill, helping your players produce a fluid motion to get the most out of the shot.
Linking these together, players can improve their technical skills and technique to help produce controlled and consistent shot outcomes and reduce the risk of picking up an injury. Give this session a go and set your players up for success!
