Bowling Wide - What Can I Do? I'm a new assistant coach and manage an u13s team, our lead coach is unable to help with next session and all the kids seem to bowl 4 out of 6 balls wide - whats the easiest way to get them to start bowling accurately?
if bowlers body alignment is not correct there s a chance of bowling wides.if bowlers front foot is open body ll bend and chance to bowl legsisde.check the alignments when it corrected d bowler ll ball automatically in the right line and werever he wants to bowl.
I did my first session with this age group recently. The lead coach was working on run-up but there were ltos of wayward deliveries. I started them bowling from the base position then from 3, 5, 7 step run-up. If they get the base and delivery right the rest can be added on. We also gave them six balls to bowl and marked where each one landed with flat cones. This allowed them to see their grouping. This worked well for line, but length was still an issue.
