How should I be bowling on one side small ground? I have a tournament which we are playing with hard tennis ball. The ground I am balling on is way too small on one side and too big on other side. Which bowling tactics and which balls should be ideal for such situation? I tried yorkers, but again it's a risky gamble.
You should look to bowl at the end where the off side is the smallest side of the pitch. I would suggest you look to bowl on a good length at the 4th stump, this is known as the corridor of uncertainty where the batsman doesn`t know whether to come forward or to go back, it forces the batsman to take risks and look to manipulate your bowling. You should set up a field with most of your fielders on the boundary on the off side (shortest side) and a few preventing a single and a couple on the leg side (largest side) to sweep up decent shots played by the batsman. I good idea could be to use the `slower ball` on a slightly tighter line around middle and off stump where you can bring in LBW and hitting the stumps. you can bowl a slower ball by moving you two fingers wider off the seam or by flicking it out of the back of your hand. a good example is ravi bopara or jade durnback.
