Can I start my career as a fast bowler at 23?
I want to start my career in cricket, but I'm 23 years old and 6 foot 3 inches in height. Can I start my career as a fast bowler now?
anybody give the ans
yes u can but u are so late
By career I take it that you mean becoming a regular player in a team.
Of course you can. Have a go!
If you don`t try you will never find out what you were capable of.
Why look back in old age and wish that you had tried and feel regret that you didn`t.
As a great coach in Australian Rules Football, John Kennedy once said to his players, "Don`t think, just do it!"
Good luck. Do it!
Had some further thoughts on what you meant by "career". In Australia where I live a career is what you do for a job and earn money to live. If by career you mean earning a living at playing cricket then that is a different story. It is pretty late to begin a first class career, because to need to be performing outstandingly at a lower level.
Dirk Nannes is a person who took up fast bowling and didn`t begin his first class career until he was 29. He had been a professional skier until he was 23. He had, however, played a fair bit as a junior.
Maybe you could end up doing the same.
If you are serious, then a serious discussion with your teamates and coach is needed as they will be the best advisors you will get.
