Running and Passing 314 center...

Pairs move to and away from each other and move in to each other while passing. They should try to receive passes while moving towards the ball and also while retreating, working on receiving the ball while running in different directions and passing to moving players.

Decision passing - Defenders m...

Based on the defender's movement player 4 should decide whether to pass to player 6, player 5 or not pass at all and take the shot on themselves. Blue player 1 starts with the ball and moves to make their defender follow them out of position, once they've dragged them outside they pass to player 2 who does the same and then passes to player 3 who passes to player 4. At this stage the game becomes 'live'. Blue 6 is stood between the two defenders and blue 5 is ready to make a run down the outside. Depending on the decisions made by the defence player 4 can pass early to player 6, throw the ball into the path of player 5 or simply go it alone and take the shot on themselves.

Players A+B in possession move forward and play the ball to their partner alongside, who is moving forward as well. At the same time players C feint at the cone and pass and catch the ball. Players D are waiting.At a signal of the coach the player A and B take the positions of the waiting D players.<br>D players take the positions of the C players and start passing.Players C take the positions of the A and B players and start passing.After the pass, players move backwards to their own starting positions.

Players stand in groups behind different cones. Players must pass the ball to the player opposite them and then follow their pass behind the player on the opposite side. Players can use a variation of passes: Center shot, jump shot (3,2,1 step rhythm), push pass, bounce pass, double handed pass, rolled pass, pass using your weaker hand etc.

Players stand in line waiting their turn to attack. The first player passes to player two in the middle who plays an immediate ball back into the path of the player who passed to them. This player should then catch the ball and shoot with a center shot on goal. Variations : - center shot when running - center shot hip height - center shot knee height   First without a defender, later with a passive defender who only shows the attacker where to throw : defender has hands high --&gt; attacker should decide for a shot at hip of knee height. Defender has hands low --&gt; attacket decedis to throw with a high shoulder height center shot or running shot.

Blue players pass the ball around the grid. At the same time the red players moves to prevent the pass to the green player in the middle of the square. The aim of the game for the outside players is to wrong-foot the defending player and create an opening in which they can play the pass to the green player.

Five players from the attacking team position themselves around the goal area line so that they stretch the defenders. Each of them should be man-marked from a distance by the five white players. Starting with the ball on the left side of the court players pass to their right, trying to draw the defender to be drawn out of position before passing the ball on again. Blue players 6 should set up a back screen in front of the fourth defender. Once the ball reaches player 4 they should dribble forwards and wait and see if defender 4 comes towards them - if the defender stands still, marking blue 6, then blue 4 should shoot on goal. If the defender moves forwards then they should pass to player 6 for them to shoot instead.

Players stand a few steps behind their cone. The first player with the ball in hand should step up to their cone and then aim their pass in front of their target recipient (pass to that player's cone). As the pass is made in front of them players should be ready to move forwards to receive the ball and then pass it to another player as fast as possible (without losing control of the ball).

Pairs stand a couple of meters apart from one another and pass the ball to one another. Players can see how many times in a row they can pass without making a mistake. Alternatively players can take a small step back after each successful couple of passes - see which players can pass successfully from the greatest distance.

Blue players 1, 2 and 4 pass the ball in the following order: Blue1- Blue2- Blue4- Blue2 Just before blue2 receives the pass from blue4 the two players closest to the 6m line (blue3 and blue6) should set screens on their defenders (white2 and white3). These screens will prevent the two defenders from moving to block the shot from blue2.

Players stand approximately 10 metres apart from one another in a 3:3 attacking formation and pass the ball between themselves using a variety of passes. The aim is to move the ball around quickly and accurately catching using one and two hands to receive the ball.

Two equal teams play with one ball in half the court. Two players who are on neither team hold an elastic cord (or a spare bib/piece of material) to form a moving goal. These two players must run around the pitch, keeping the goal open (stretched out). The aim of the game for the other players is to score a goal into this moving goal through use of a bounce pass.

In this drill players receive a wide pass and then move towards the defender. Once they're within arm's reach they should move as if they're offloading the ball across their body (so a right hander would feint the pass to the left). At the same time they they should drop their left shoulder to make the move more convincing. After doing this the attacker should quickly shift their weight and push off their left foot to explode in the opposite direction and run around the right of the defender.

Meet the Pass and Shoot - With...

Player 1 is acting as the feeder as all other players line up to their left and right. Player one carries the ball towards the defender in order to create space for the players to their left and right. Once they have engaged the defender they should offload the ball to their left, in front of player 2. Player 2 so must move forwards to meet the pass. Once they have the ball under control they should switch the ball cross-court to player 3, making sure their pass is out of the defender's reach. Player 3 runs onto this pass and must then engage the second defender before offloading a quick pass to player 4 who then runs on to shoot on goal.

Fast Break - Combination Pass ...

In this move the winger start with the ball and passes the keeper who returns the pass to the center back. At this point the wing back and the winger both make a forward run. Once the wing back receives the pass from the center back the defender is then free to run forward to put pressure on the wing back. The wing back must read the situation and decide on the best way to progress the attack. They can either pass the ball to the winger who has made a looping run behind them or they can carry the ball forward themselves for the shot on goal. Drill continues until a shot/interception has been made.

The ball starts in the middle with player 1 who plays a one-two pass with player 2 to their right. When this pass is being played player 3 should time their run so that as player receive the ball they are running just behind them - ready to catch the quick pass. Player 3 then runs with the ball and sets player 2 up for the shot on goal.
