Forehand to forehand team tram...

Players get into pairs. Each pair plays against another pair rallying inside the tram line. The two players rotate in each team, taking it in turns to hit the ball using only their forehand. Every time the ball stays inside the tram lines they score a point The first pair to score 10 is the winner.

Topspin Lob Lob - Tennis Drill...

The coach feeds a deep ball to hitters. Players must hit a topspin lob and then return to the back of the line after their shot. With more advanced players the coach should feed the balls from the back of the opposite side of the court.

<BR>-Players hit forehands aiming for the line.<BR>-Players maintain high net clearance to achieve consistency.<BR>-Three points are deducted from the final score (i.e. the rally count) for each shot that was hit into the net.<BR>-After 2 minutes see which pair held the longest rally.<BR>-After one or two rounds swap to backhand.

<BR>-Players hit ground strokes in pairs until one of them makes a mistake. The waiting player(s) come in if mistake is made.<BR>-After 5 minutes the winners are the players with the longest rally.<BR>-More advanced players can be given target areas to hit to.

<BR>-The game has two teams of four players each.<BR>-Each team consists of two lobbers and two smashers.The smashers must stand in their respective service courts.<BR>-Points are scored every time a lob falls between the base line and the service line.The baseliners must hit the ball after one bounce. Points are lost as in normal tennis.<BR>-First team to 5 wins.<BR>-The baseliners and the smashers swop over for the next game.

<BR>-The coach feeds down the line, the player runs to hit the ball cross court into the target area.<BR>First player to 3 shots (or higher if more advanced players) wins the game.<BR>-The drill can then be run similarly from the backhand corner.

Players serve at the targets shown, taking two balls at a time and serving 1 first serve, 1 second serve at each target.After a certain amount of time players switch and repeat the same from the other side.The player with the most targets at the end of the practice wins the drill.If groups are large, players can take it in turns to serve one after the other, and/or also from the doubles serving positions.</div>

Player 1 only has one serve. Player 2 returns and follows it into the net to volley or smash. The server should not be allowed to lob the first shot. Player 2 should aim for either a deep return or cross court.Play out the points and first to seven points is the winner.

Coach serves to the player from the deuce side. Player moves into position to hit a backhand return cross court. Cones should be placed in the corner of the deuce side to give the player a target to aim for.

Tell the players to stand close the surrounding netting of the court and ask the players to throw up the ball and trap it between strings and fence.

<BR>-Both players have cones approx 2 meters in front of base line (depending on players skill level.<BR>-Players gain a point each time they hit between the cone and the base line. <BR>-One of the players has to stay on or inside the baseline. <BR>-With more advanced players both have to play on or inside the baseline.<BR>-First player to 11 points wins the game.<BR>-To make the drill easier it can be played on one half of the court and later progressed to full court. <BR>-The game can also be started with a second serve.

Coach and player rally together.Using 2 racquets each, coach and player have to always catch the ball between the racquets and then hit it over the net back to the partner.

The player serves wide to the deuce side and the coach feeds short ball to deuce side. The player hits deep forehand approach shot cross-court and comes to the net. The coach feeds another ball to deuce side and the player finishes with forehand volley cross-court.

The server then plays out the point and returner gains bonus points if the angled returns hit the designated areas between the service line and the inside tramline and eventually wins the point.
