Game starts with the red player passing to the blue player. The red player then runs to the middle and defends against the blue player who will then dribble with the ball to try and score in the red goal. To start with the red player cant tackle and can only try and guide the blue player away from his goal useing body position. Red player can also block shots. The blue player is not allowed to just shoot when hes recived the ball and is encouraged to take the defender on. When the blue player has either scored or had a shot missed or blocked the players go back to their own goals with the roles now changed over.
Defender learns to back peddle while trying to use his body position to push the attaker away from goal. The attacker learns close control whilst trying to get passed the defender and finding the correct time to shoot. A progression could be that the defender is allowed to tackle or if he gains possestion he can take a 1 touch shot at the other goal.
