PROGRESSION 1 Set up low block with other players as attackers. Attackers move ball passively around the block. Players in the block focus on shifting and staying connected. PROGRESSION 2 The attackers dribble and pass into the defensive block. The defenders must recognize when to pressure the ball and when to protect their positions. If they win possession, they play either pop-up goal. PROGRESSION 3 Attackers are rencouraged to switch the ball quickly from one side to the other. Defending group must communicate and shift without leaving gaps through the middle. Look for the weak-side midfielder to tuck in rather than remaining unnecessarily wide.
