
This drill is to model the Pressure Cover and Balance in a 3v3 format. A Pressure and Cover can be used in a 3v2 format to start
Duration: 15 minutes Area: Indoor, Half field. Outdoor Approx 20x30 Equipment: 3 cones and one ball (can have extras to speed transitions) Setup: 3 cones approx. 20m from net with one in the centre of the field and 2 approx. 10m on each side of the centre cone 6 players (3 attacking and 3 defending) Instructions: Centre attacking player will pass the ball to one side or the other of the field to outside attacking players. Ball should lead ahead. The centre player and remaining attacker will attack in a normal 3v2 or 3v3 pattern Defending player to the side of the passed ball will move to a pressure position (goalside). Remaining defenders will move to a Cover and Balance position Coaching Hints: 3 goals of defending 1. Keep outside 2. Slow the play 3. Wait for the mistake Communication
