Community | Shaping - Full Back Transitions 4

Jamie Hughes Coach, Scotland

DESCRIPTION

Set up with 16 players. Attacking team in a 4-3-1, defending team in 3-3-1 with one keeper. Play starts with pass from back out to full back. You are wanting the full back to progress up the pitch with the ball. In this example, the full back will play through the central channel, playiong a pass into near side centre midfielder. Full back must then make a run through the middle to receive a one two and create a chance by shooting or moving the ball on. Very important that the remaining 3 defenders either bring another midfielder in or all shift across to fill gap created, depending on opposition up front. Play from there.
