Set up both teams in 3-3-1. Ball starts with red team and they attack goal (no restrictions). If black team win ball they must make a minimum of five passes before they can score. Change team restrictions after five minutes. Blacks play with no restrictions and reds now must make a minimum of five passes. Progression: The restriction changes if reds lose ball trying to play in to striker. (only outside of 18 yard box) If this happens, blacks can now attack goal with no restricitons and reds must make five passes before attacking the goal. This continues on for both teams. (This is to encourage teams to retain possession without risking losing ball when it isnt on to striker. Keep ball to work good opportunities. once ball is lost get behind ball quickly, and then bigger spaces after winning ball back.
Creating spaces with runs. Movement of striker to trigger when ball travels in to final third. Deep, wide and long options for player on ball. Use of space when attacking and denying space when defending. Decision making - when to keep ball and work opportunity and when to be more direct.
