Equipment: Multiple balls on the side for the coach to resume play Set up: Set up one grid approx. 20x35m (increase if larger teams) Space cones at 5 metres apart Split players into 3 teams (3-5 players per team) For progression, set up cones as nets on 2 sides Description: - 2 Teams work to win the ball and make as many passes as possible. The 3rd team is on the outside of the grid as extra players for the team that possesses the ball. Passes should be done to players inside and outside the grid. - Players on the outside of the grid can move to any side and along the sides. - Players inside the grid cannot reach outside the grid to win the ball - Players outside the grid cannot reach inside the grid to win the ball Set a time to switch teams so all get a chance. This should be approx 2 minutes. Expected Outcomes: - Teams will use the outside players and then move to open spaces. - Players can protect the ball and turn to open outside player. - Players must move to open positions Progression: - Add nets (cones) on 2 sides. Players on net side are âgoaliesâ. - If attacking team gets ball to the goalie, they are awarded a point. - If attacking team resets to their goalie and then is able to âscoreâ, they are awarded 2 points - Players on side are still neutral - Team first to 5 points, wins the game and opposing team takes over outside area.
