1. Coach plays a looping high ball between the lines to the player, who must control the ball. 2. After controlling the ball, the payer must then play the ball back to the coach as quick as possible. 3. After the pass, the player will make a curved run into the box, attempting to reach the through ball. 4. The through ball should be played in the hope of reaching the attacker in the box. 5. Finally the attacker should control the through ball and shoot towards the goal.
Highlight correct ways to control the ball from the air and pass the ball as quick as possible. Focus on one step at a time. Make sure the run is curved so that the player does not move into an offside position. Reiterate shooting techniques and concentrate on accuracy.
