Description Using 4 cones, set up a 5x5 yd box. One player will be dribbling on the inside of the box. Four players will be defending, one on each side of the box. The attacker must try to dribble across one of the sides of the box. The defenders must try to prevent the attacker from crossing their side. They may only move left and right along their side of the box. The attacker must always be moving and in control of the ball. They must dribble across the line, so passing. Coaching Points Make sure the attacker is always in control of the ball. The attacker should use quick movements to confuse the defenders and make it across the line. The attacker must get thier head up to and use their vision to find weaknesses in the defensive positioning. Defenders should use lateral movement along sides of the box, keeping play in front of them. Coaches should be looking for and encouraging the following: touch ball control, heads up, quick movements and changes of direction.
