Set up two cones, 10m apart and 10m from the target stump.
(This drill is best performed in front of a net as shown).
Coach rolls the balls out one after another down the middle of the two cones.
As the balls come out players must attack them one at a time, running diagonally from alternate cones, to pick up the ball and throw them back looking to hit the stump.
Players then join the back of opposite queue.
Players must focus on a well-balanced body positon so they can pick up the ball and follow through towards the target (aim to keep as low as possible with pick up and throw).
Your players should be hitting the target stump on 1 in every 3 throws.
It is important players remain relaxed during execution of the drill and do not become tense.
Progression:
Increase the distance of the underarm pick up and throw.
