This bonus session contains some great ideas for you to introduce players the physical element of the game and to get them to enjoy the personal duels which they will encounter when playing a real match.
When starting out coaching handball you will have two people to win over; mum and the player. Mum may be worried her child will get hurt and the player might share some of these fears. Your job is to show mum and the young player that handball is not a dangerous sport and that contact is fairly minimal, especially when starting out. Why not invite parents to one of your session to see how the game is played and use this bonus session to gently introduce your players to some of the physical duelling elements of the game in a fun and enjoyable way.
