Improving the Attack - Get past the last man!

Are your players struggling when they reach the final third to get past their man and get a shot off at goal. If so this attacking skills session can help!

In this session we focus on:

  • Faking - A brief feint or aborted change of direction intended to mislead your opponent or the opposing team
  • Feinting - A feigned attack designed to draw defensive action away from an intended target
  • Improvising - To invent, compose, or perform with little or no preparation.
  • Giving and Going! - Passing and then moving into space with the intention to receive the return pass.

These attacking moves are key skills for any attacking player and should be used with speed and conviction in order to sell the move, send the defender the wrong way and open up space for your players to run into or to play an offensive pass!
