Set up two circles of cones across the width of the court.
Players run one at a time around the cones in a figure of 8 as quickly as possible. You can split your players into two groups in both halves of the court and run this exercise as a relay race - the first team to complete the figure of 8 running wins the race!
You can perform this exercise with and without the ball.
Moving with ball practices:
Dribble dribble with only their right hand, then their left hand
Dribble with alternating hands in a left-right-left-right pattern
Throw the ball in the air, let it bounce once and catch it...
Run around the cones while circling the ball around your waist
After running around the cones players pass the ball to the next player for them to continue running.
