DESCRIPTION

  • Setup the practice as shown.

    • Each player has to run across to the other side in a straight line with the ball glued to the stick all the way.

    COACHING POINTS

  • Left hand at the top of the stick.
  • Right hand in the middle of the stick.
  • Ball in contact with the flat side of the stick.

    Running with Ball | Practices For Juniors

    Running with Ball:

  • Setup as shown.
  • Split the group into 2 - One group with balls the other without.

    • The blue team have a ball each and on the coach's command run around the blue cones.

    At the same time the red team run (without the ball) around the red cones.

    Relay Dribbling | Practices For Juniors

    Relay Dribbling:

    Set out 3 or 4 identical lines of cones between the half way line and the 23 meter line.

    Find a new ball:

    Every player with a ball and stick.

    Players can run anywhere they like or restrict the area.

    On the whistle all the players leave the ball and have to find another ball to continue to run with the ball until the next whistle.

    Running with the Ball Relay:

  • Setup as shown.
  • Get the group to split into pairs with one partner each side of the line.

    • Players dribble across the grid in a relay.
