DESCRIPTION

*** AUDIO DESCRIPTION ON ***

Objective: Build a sound technical model for hitting the ball, focussing on weight transfer.

Purpose: Generating power through weight transfer will help create a technically sounds model for hitting a flat, accurate pass or shot.

Structure: Pairs 

 

COACHING POINTS

  • The weight transfer comes for a good body position (square to allow the hip to rotate through and transfer the weight).
  • Get the players to pose their finsih after striking the ball. This will give a good indication of whether they were balanced at impact.

Hitting the ball: Path of stick - 2/5:

Objective: Build a sound technical model for hitting the ball, focussing on the path of the stick.

Purpose: Having the sound technical model to take the stick on the correct path will allow the ball to be hit flat, accurately and with good power for a shot or pass.

Purpose: With a sound technical model, the ball position is vital to hitting a flat, accurate and powerful shot or pass.

Purpose: Having the right grip for a hit will allow help in providing a flat accurate pass or shot at goal.

Purpose: Adopting the right body position for a technically sound model of the hit will ensure a firm, flat and accurate pass or shot.
