Hold ball nearly vertical with bottom hand, with top hand steadying rather than holding. Keep head over the ball during run up planting your non-kicking foot close to where you will drop the ball to keep your body balanced.
Drop the ball, do not throw it into the air first. Kick the ball as it begins to rise from the ground with the inside ball and laces of your foot. Follow through with kicking leg. The body’s hips and shoulders should be straight on to ensure all momentum has gone through the ball.
