To help your players to maintain the upper hand, right from the start of their games, we have grouped together a selection of decision making service and first shot drills. This training session will make sure your players are attacking and decisive from the first shot, promoting strong and dominant play.
Carefully selected for players of intermediate to advanced level, this session will require your players to be accurate as well as decisive throughout. Starting off without an opponent, accuracy will be paramount. The server will be required to correctly nominate and serve into a designated section of the service area before progressing to the next exercise. The following drills, through use of targets and an opponent, will see the serving player dictating the pattern of play. Through use of clever shot selection, your player will decide whether to return down either the near sideline or the far sideline, encouraging them to be dominant and give their opponent the run around.
Your players may well be a long way off from their first Roland Garros, but with this training session you can help them to take control of the game, set and match from first service to match point.
