I want doesn?t always get? unless you work for it! Aimed at your younger players, this session goes through the basics of the backhand stroke, working and improving on their technique. With a series of fun drills, work with your players and build up their backhand from the beginning. It?s important that all young players just starting out in tennis get the basics, so they are able to progress with the correct technique and develop a solid backhand!
Start off with a fun agility based warm up, getting your players ready to enjoy the session ahead, before moving onto working on new and existing skills needed to perfect their backhand. Work on areas such as their footwork and ball perception, with and without the racquet in drills like Mixed Rally. By using fun games, you?re keeping your players interested and enjoying their tennis, so they?ll leave training with a smile on their face!
Get your beginners on the right track to performing on court with a solid backhand!
