To teach your players the the dark art of the drop shots this session aims to get your players moving forward, responding to short balls whilst also practising their soft hands and disguising their shots.
The exercises in this session are designed to get your players working on both sides of the net - practising playing drop-shots as well as returning them. By focusing on awareness, fast feet and soft hands all your players will be crafty Drop-Shot wizards by the end of this session!
Even the best players occasionally are caught under the spell of a deftly played drop-shot (see video below- Djokovic surprising Hewitt with a cheeky backhand drop-shot).
However, with the right sort of practice your players will be able to see through their opponent's invisibility cloak and meet the ball with an open racquet - ready to return whilst moving at speed.
