The backhand Cross-court - a formidable weapon

In Session we look at the Backhand Cross-Court stroke - a formidable shot that players can fire across their unsuspecting opponent's bow, to open up the court and win points!

When played correctly players should have a closed stance, with their body perpendicular to the base-line, twisting their shoulders as they wind up for this powerful two-handed weapon-like shot.

This beautiful stroke can be devastating to your opponent. Even if they manage to move quickly and return this shot the by-product is that they will have been drawn out of position which will leave the court open for your player to smash a crushing forehand, out of reach into the far corner!
